This is Södergran’s second poetry collection, published in 1918. The main topic of this collection was Södergran’s self-perception, coming to term with her illness as well as herself as a literary figure. And contrary to her first collection, this one was published on demand.
Moreover, this is the collection where it was first becoming obvious that she counted Nietzsche among her main influences.
I translated Södergran from Swedish to English back in 2012. I did it as a personal tribute, since her poetry has been a great source of inspiration for me, both personally and as a poet.
The translations were revised in 2017, and the current version of the file is 57 pages long and contains 46 poems.
