Poems about transience. This is close to the most important theme in K-M Skalkenæs’ poetry. It just keeps popping up.
Why is that? Well, transience is an innate part of who we are and how we live. We are transient being, however much we like to pretend otherwise. Our surroundings change and we change – and that’s how life is.
K-M Skalkenæs embraces this in her poetry. It is easy to describe, but it can be hard to live with. There is no way of turning back or freezing time. And she firmly believes that it is for the best.
