Poems about truth. And what is that again?

K-M Skalkenæs has stated numerous times that she thinks questions are more important than answers. That truth is a nebulous concept. And that it differs depending on which person defines it.

These poems are “truthful” from her perspective. And/or they deal with truth as the difficult concept it is.

They deal with grasping the truth. Finding it out. Dealing with it. Or with attempting to figure out whether it even exists.

What is truth? That depends on you. What is your point of view and your frame of reference? That’s what matters.

New Poem: “scathing sunlight scorching parched earth -“

Posted By K-M Skalkenæs

scathing sunlight scorching parched earth – scathing humans robbing humans of self-worth – earth spins panting, looking on in its despair – our every action makes it wish we weren’t here –

New Poem: “friendly monster in my nightmare”

Posted By K-M Skalkenæs

friendly monster in my nightmare tells me that the fear is unfounded here and now – the scary isn’t here – “but just wait till the morning when you wake…”

There’s a Nightmare Afoot

Posted By K-M Skalkenæs

There’s a nightmare afoot and I cannot tell if it is a dream or reality rearing its ugly head intent on breaking the spell – Something dropped and then picked up only to be dropped again – play that on […]

For All the Flaws of Our Life On Earth

Posted By K-M Skalkenæs

Could I earn a place in Heaven – by what means and what might it do to me? What if I found that once there, then not only had I ceased to be but too that Heaven isn’t as it […]

You Called Me Forth

Posted By K-M Skalkenæs

You called me forth and I stumbled out into this light that blinds me. “Well, here I am – what is it that you wanted out of me? Not what you get? I see.” Well, here I stay mindful of […]

These Are Just My Thoughts

Posted By K-M Skalkenæs

I don’t claim to have all the answers these are just my thoughts; disorganized and fragmented as they come. A relentless stream that varies from gibberish to genius. But however smart they sound at least at times I do not […]

How About Writing About Something I Know?

Posted By K-M Skalkenæs

How about writing about something I know? Something I care about? How about not caring in advance whether the reader understands or wants to understand or whether or not it even matters? How about settling for the idea that everything […]

I Have a Crippling Fear of Writing

Posted By K-M Skalkenæs

My biggest wish for the future is that everybody would stop pretending that they are perfect when they all know they’re not. My perfect scenario being universal honesty about our faults and fears and vulnerability. But since everybody else seem […]

En dråbe sandhed

Posted By K-M Skalkenæs

Det var ikke regn der ramte – det var en dråbe sandhed. Skynd dig at forstå den før den fordamper! Du tørrer den væk? Nu er den er væk.

My Antiquities

Posted By K-M Skalkenæs

The things I valued not so long ago – the things for which I lived and the ones I left untold are all now piled together into one close-packed rhyme for all now share in fate: They’ve fallen out of […]

Happiness

Posted By K-M Skalkenæs

New Poem: “The Truest Love Poem I Shall Ever Write”

Posted By K-M Skalkenæs

I’ve loved you since my childhood. I’ll love you till I die. Your immaterial material being has made me laugh and cry. I know each nook and corner, I’ve walked each street and path. And though I’ve left in person […]
