A circle drawn around you all,
you lean in near to hear –
you bask in warmth and words
and everything outside
the invisible wall
your circle creates here
is empty space to you all –
A droplet drawn from the river,
left in a bucket on the bank
seeing the rest flow on away –
evaporating day by day –
And this is my family –
and this is I –
left outside the circle they draw
to slowly wither and die –
