Poems about temptation. What exactly are they about?
Well, the poet could’ve tried to describe temptation in the broadest sense. But who would get anything out of that?
The poems here refer to specific people or situations. Two of them describes a specific woman whereas one describes being tempted to drown oneself.
The topic can necessarily get a bit emotional – and that is also one of the reasons why the poet holds back on it a bit.
The poems you can read here are honest and vulnerable. Nobody is constantly happy, and everybody have weaknesses. And temptation lurks all around us – in different guises.
