Poems about longing.
We all know the concept of longing for something, or maybe someone. In K-M Skalkenæs’ poetry, many of the poems written of longing are related to her poems about love. However, they span much broader than that.
Longing can also be related to wanting a change in life in general. It could be a different job or moving to another place. Longing is simply the feeling that drives us to make changed because we feel that something is missing. We may not even know what that is – we just know it’s missing. And so we seek it out.
