Poems about writing.
It may seem strange to write of writing – but then again: What better way to reflect on the matter?
What does it mean to write? Why does one even do it? What can writing be useful for? And why is K-M Skalkenæs (in particular) doing that?
It has evolved into a fairly common theme in her poetry over time, as it neatly fits every instance of doubt or questioning the goals of her production. These are self-reflective poems, useful to consider the impact of writing, and the impulses that lead someone to write in the first place.
